Unfortunately, I have not been on here very much.  I have had a lot going on and have not been able to make cards.  I finally found some time to make some Christmas cards.

I Have a New Blog

I have a new blog that will walk my followers through my weight loss attempt.  My blog is called Melt Away the Pounds and the site is:  www.meltawaythepounds.blogspot.com

I hope you check in and encourage me once in awhile.  I am following a program called Ideal Protein.  Today is my first day and so far so good.  I am so full I have trouble getting all the food in.  I am told that women lose 3-5 lbs. per week.  I have two friends who collectively have lost 160 lbs.

Wedding Card

Here is a wedding card I made for a wedding my husband and I are attending.  The groom's parents are very good friends.  We became friends when Luke, the groom was just a year old.  He is now 26 and getting married.  Where does the time go?

I used the pink for the flowers in the middle and the green for the leaves.

Do You Have a Smash Book

I love my smash book.  I don't use it the way most people do.  In other words, I don't actually use it as a scrapbook.  I have a 12 x 12 book.  I like color palettes.  I use it for different color palettes that I have found.  Then when I get ready to create a card I go to my smash book and look at some of the color combinations to do something different or just get inspired.

 I would print these out on my color printer and then cut them down and put them in my smash book.  Now when I need inspiration or just get bored with the usual color combinations I can go look through my stash.

Easy Christmas Card - It's Just Around the Corner

I was looking through pinterest and came across this card by Judy May.  It is gorgeous and easy.  The color palette is easily changed.

The Zig Zag Card Was a Hit

I dropped the card off at Pam's tonight after work - she wasn't home so I left it for her.  She left me a voicemail message. She absolutely loved it.  Said it was the coolest card she has ever seen.  So glad.  I wanted to do something special.  She said she is going to take it to work and show around.  Again, happy birthday to my BFF!

Double Zig Zag Card

Oh my gosh, it took me forever but I finally got it.  Here is my double zig zag card.  I am sending it to my best friend Pam.  We have been best friends since we were 15.  We are both 54 now.  I just turned 54 and she is going to be 54 on 8/5.  Happy Birthday BFF!

Its Another Prom Weekend

Well, Cole is off to another prom this weekend.  He is taking his friend Katy who goes to a school 30 miles from home.  He looked so handsome in his tux.  Hopefully I will have pictures to post later.  They are locked down until 4:00 a.m.  Don't really like the idea of him driving home at 4 a.m.
